Flip Shelton has just added a gluten-free muesli blend to her existing range of gourmet breakfast provisions.

Flip Shelton's Natural Muesli 'the one that's gluten-free' is an approved product by The Coeliac Society of Australia and carries their logo.

This gluten-free muesli combines rice flakes, buckwheat, rice bran sticks, rice puffs and amaranth along with the colourful and naturally sweet dried apricots and cranberries, the protein power of almonds and pecans along with sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds.

Unlike many other gluten-free mueslis available on the market place, this muesli is not prepared with oil, honey or sugar.

The good news is, you don't need to be a Coeliac to enjoy this gluten-free muesli! Like Flip Shelton's other natural mueslis, this blend is delicious and nutritious. It is high in complex carbohydrates and fibre and low in saturated fats. It is also a good source of plant-based protein. It has a 30% fruit and nut component.

The gluten-free muesli is available to be bought online as well as good health food stores and speciality shops (store listings below).

The gluten-free muesli comes in two sizes - 450g and 900g resealable bags, with a RRP of $13.50 and $20.80 respectively.

It is however treated like a cereal grain and used in breads, pancakes, noodles and breakfast mixes and it does have a nutritional profile more like a cereal than a seed.
